Brooks Region Brand is Considered 'Best of the Best'

The Brooks Region's economic development team won a national marketing award from the Economic Developers Association of Canada (EDAC).

The awards were announced Sept. 24, 2019 at EDAC's annual conference in Edmonton, AB. 

"We are honoured to be recognized at the national level for our marketing efforts," said Jessica Surgenor, Economic Development Officer for the Brooks Region. "We are really proud of our Branding and Communications Strategy and are thrilled EDAC recognized our efforts as well."

The EDAC Conference provides professional development opportunities, highlights successful programs and initiatives being executed across Canada. It connects individuals and organizations that can assist with investment attraction and business retention for the region.

What is EDAC?

EDAC is Canada’s national association of economic development professionals, with a coast-to-coast membership of nearly 1,000.

The Brooks Region's economic development team consists of Economic Development Officer Jessica Surgenor, Economic Development Officer Nova Sekhon and City of Brooks Community Development Manager Lisa Tiffin.
