Addressing the Labour Shortage
The Brooks Newell Region has received designation from the Government of Alberta to participate in the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP). Under this program, the Brooks Newell Region will support economic development by attracting newcomers that are qualified to fill vacant, full-time, permanent jobs in the Region, plus attract entrepreneurs, new investment, and new businesses. Newcomers that participate under this program will receive nomination for permanent residency from the Brooks Newell Region, allowing them to stay working and living in our community, permanently.
There are two streams of the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program and we will be offering both to our community.
