Marwa Hassan, her husband Ahmed Badawy and their four kids moved to Canada from Egypt in 2012 as Pharmacists under the Federal Skilled Worker Program. They choose to move to Canada because of positive freedom of religion, women’s rights and human rights.

Last year they moved to Brooks from Calgary to open a pharmacy in Duchess, Duchess Drug Mart​. They’ve been operating in Duchess for just over a year and are already expanding to a second location. “Greenbrook Pharmacy,” their second location will be located on Sutherland Dr. E. across the skate-park and is set to open before Christmas.
