Duffy's Family Fun Center

Posted on

Trevor Smith had always wanted an arcade, so he and his wife Melissa opened Duffy’s with a few coin-operated machines and pool tables in 2009. Over the past 12 years of operation, the family fun center has outgrown two locations and has now been at 707 1 Street West for the last 6 years.

The current location was originally a car wash, which the couple stripped to bare bones and completely remodelled to become the perfect space for their arcade. The process took a year and allowed Trevor and Melissa to continue expanding their long list of games available to customers, which now totals close to 100 arcade games! It also has a party venue that can be rented as part of Duffy’s birthday package, which includes digital tokens and food and drinks for your entire group.

Trevor and Melissa are excited to be re-opening and have implemented new changes while being closed due to restrictions! Instead of using tokens and tickets, customers will now be able to load their points onto a digital card which you simply tap to play and redeem for merchandise.

New games installed in the last few months include a high-tech Mario and Sonic Olympic game in which you can race your friends in sporting events, and a multi-player Atomic Rush changing colour panel game that will help tire out even the most energetic kiddos.

Afterwards, beat the heat and enjoy a classic soft-serve cone and loaded poutine in one of the 40 flavours available on the shaded outdoor patio.
